Service Description
Award in Emergency First Aid at Work qualification is designed for individuals who wish to act as an emergency first aider in their workplace. Upon successful completion of this qualification, candidates will be equipped with the essential skills needed to give safe, prompt and effective first aid in emergency situations. What’s more, as a regulated qualification, employers can book this course for their employees and rest assured that they have fulfilled their legal responsibilities for providing quality first aid training, without having to undertake any lengthy due diligence checks introduced in the recent HSE changes. We are able to conduct group training sessions at your venue or you may wish to join one of our open public courses of which we run various dates throughout the year, see details to the right. Course programme: This interactive one-day course is delivered using small group scenarios, in a friendly environment. Programme: The roles and responsibilities of an emergency first aider Assessing an incident Managing an unresponsive casualty CPR and AED use Recovery Position Choking Seizures Shock Wounds and bleeding Minor injuries Cuts, grazes and bruises Minor burns and scalds Qualifications: Ofqual Accreditation Level 3 EFAW first aider at work (3 years) We are a Qualsafe Training Centre which means our courses are approved and recognised by Ofqual Accreditation.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations or course date transfers are not permitted. If you are unable to attend the course yourself, you may change the name of the delegate attending the course free of charge. You must inform the office to any change of delegates prior to the start of the course. If you are ill on the day of the course you must notify us in writing as soon as possible via email addressed to admin@sussesfirstaidcourses.co.uk. A transfer will only be offered if a valid doctor’s note is produced. Late arrival or missed session: If you arrive late for a course, or are absent from any session, we reserve the right to refuse to accept you for training if we feel you will gain insufficient knowledge or skill in the time remaining. In all such cases, the full course fee remains payable. To conform with Health & Safety Executive requirements for Statutory Certificates, attendance at all sessions is mandatory. In the event of non-attendance full fee is still due and is non-refundable. Cancellation by Sussex First Aid Courses: Sussex First Aid Courses reserves the right to cancel any course if there are insufficient numbers to run a viable course. In such circumstances, you will be given as much notice as possible and the offer of a free transfer to another course date, or a full refund of fees paid.
