Emergency Paediatric First Aid Courses

Service Description

This regulated and nationally recognised qualification provides Learners with the opportunity to develop the basic skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency paediatric first aid situations which could arise when looking after children. We are able to conduct group training sessions at your venue or you may wish to join one of our open public courses of which we run various dates throughout the year, see details to the right. The QA Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (RQF)qualification is ideal for anyone who cares for infants and children, such as: parents, guardians, grandparents or those who have a professional involvement with infants and children and want to learn key paediatric first aid skills. Course programme: During this 1 day course, Learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of paediatric first aid situations, including: managing an unresponsive infant or child, CPR, choking, seizures, external bleeding and more. Programme includes: Aim and responsibilities of the first aider Priorities of treatment Primary and secondary assessment Child/baby CPR Airway obstruction Wounds and bleeding Bone, joint and muscle injuries Burns Shock Anaphylaxis Asthma Poisoning,foreign bodies in ears and noses Childhood illness and Meningitis AED training Qualifications: Courses meet requirements of OFSTED for registration on the VOLUNTARY REGISTER Ofqual Accreditation: QA Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (3 years) ​​

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations Terms: ​ Should circumstances mean that you have to cancel your training course and are unable to transfer your booking to another date at the time of cancellation, the following charges will apply: ​Cancellations and Transferring of dates/Names Terms: ​ Should circumstances mean that you have to cancel your training course and are unable to transfer your booking to another date at the time of cancellation, the following charges will apply: ​Notifications by email: 21 – 15 days we refund 75% of the course fee. 14 – 8 days we refund 50% of course fee. 7 days or less no refund of course fee. Deductible booking fee before 21 days of £5pp from total refund. Transferring of training date/Name between 14 -8 days £10pp admin fee.
