Testimonials

Just literally finished the medical emergency and CPR training with Garry in Brighton... The training was fantastic, and so much better than any training I had received from other companies in the past. I didn't realise how totally unprepared I was for a medical emergency before today. I'm feeling confident now.

Jodie Orr Practice Manager, Brighton Smile Clinic

On behalf of the staff at Ferring Dental Clinic, I would like to say a big thank you for firstly coming to our premises to see us at a time that suited us.

We were quite nervous but you put us all at ease instantly. The way you enabled us to 'role play' with Fred your manikin in the chair was brilliant and it really helped us to understand what we would do in a situation where we needed to administer 1st aid.

We gained such a huge amount of information from you in a short period of time and we all feel confident now in being able to help any person that is in difficulty, not bad for a few hours training!

We would have no hesitation in recommending you.

Thank you very much for providing the First Aid Trainer, Garry, on Wednesday. All the parents gained a lot from the session and Garry has a fantastic approach making the information both accessible and appropriate. He has a very interactive style which completely suited our context and this made a very positive and informative session for everyone. Thank you again for organising this!

Thanks for another informative and well presented training session. The whole team really enjoyed the session and the participation in the scenarios was vey empowering! We had a fun morning.

Mel, the General Manager of Fishers Farm sent me an e mail today. In it she says "Thank you for our defib, which is installed in the first aid room and all trained persons have new symbols on their badges. They all commented on how good and inspiring the instructor was and how he instilled confidence in them all.

I recently attended a one day first aid course. Garry is a first class presenter, friendly, approachable and down to earth - injecting humour where appropriate. He presents the information with friendly confidence, but no hint of arrogance. The practical parts of the course provided invaluable practice at dealing with people in need of first aid.

The venue was very pleasant and allowed our group to feel connected to one another and Garry. Exceptional value for money.

I would not hesitate to recommend him.

Really enjoyed the course, presented well and time went really quickly. Now feel confident and well informed. First aid training is an essential part of being a parent as well as a Foster Carer and you never know if you will need it.

Together with eleven colleagues from Worthing & District Society of Model Engineers I received training to use a defibrillator. Not only is it necessary to know how to use the machine properly but also most importantly to know how to administer CPR. The session was scheduled to last 3 hours which seemed a long time before we began but in the event there was far more to remember than any of us had anticipated. 3 hours was not too long and we had some very useful practice on the "Annies". We now all feel confident that we could use the machine competently and apply CPR properly if the need should arise.

Brilliant 'Community First Responder' training session and assessment on 09.07.11. Feel so much more confident now; Garry somehow put the responder role into perspective for me. I have been trained for one year - but feel this was the most practical 'down to earth' training I have attended. Thank you.

Jenny Sargent First Responder, Eastbourne

As a group of new mums, we arranged with Garry for a First Aid Course for babies, and, although now more scared out of our wits about things that can happen of which we can have no warning or control, the course was very informative and gave us peace of mind for the minor injuries and accidents that may happen.

Being a teacher who delivers many courses, I am the harshest critic of presenters! I would recommend Garry's comprehensive training unreservedly. He has a way of imparting information through humour and multi-sensory learning which harnesses the memory to its optimum level. No one is afraid of asking a question as Garry ensures that everyone feels valued and that their question is of importance.

A very very enjoyable day.

Sue Matthews First Responder, Eastbourne

I wanted to email to say a big thank you for coming and doing our CPR.  Your style was excellent - very clear, concise and delivered in a manner that we could all remember.  The feedback from all staff was how much better they found your session that previous ones.

Stephanie Seacombe Joint Practice Manager, Old Shoreham Road Surgery

Thank you on behalf of all the team at Chi Harbour Patrol for the Responder Training you recently delivered for us. The lads and Lucy thoroughly enjoyed it and commented on how worth while it was and along with the extra tips for working with the crews made for a interesting refresher.

Roger Young Patrol Officer, CHI Harbour West Sussex

On behalf of Blue Watch, I would like to thank you very much for your training session yesterday. Every single watch member thoroughly enjoyed it and gained a great deal of knowledge and understanding. Infact, they spent the rest of the day talking about it!

I have passed your contact details onto two of my colleagues at Crawley and Chichester, so you may hear from them sometime soon.

Once again, thank you for a very beneficial and interesting training session.

Darren  Station Manager, West Sussex Fire Service

This is a quality programme delivered well and at the correct level. There are plenty of practical sessions within the day to ensure everyone gets the chance to have a go at everything. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Jo Smart Dental Nurse, Brighton Smile Clinic

A really enjoyable afternoon. We all had a lot of fun, updated our emergency kit and got our CPD. Thanks Garry.

Christine Hallwort Dental Nurse, Lancing

I, along with 6 of my staff, attended the One Day First Aid at Work course, and found it to be set in a very relaxed and friendly setting. The course was set out to cover specific standards that had to be met, and because of the friendly atmosphere you were not made to feel uncomfortable when asking questions. I found the course was exceptional value for money, and the instructors were very knowledgeable. I will be using Sussex Dental First Aid Training again, and have already recommended them to other people I know that need to get their First Aid Training.

Lesley Dorricott Manager EMS Services, Worthing

I today attended a first aid course with blue sky fostering I loved it and was made to feel very comfortable and relaxed, thank you.

Susan Mcguire Foster Carer, Brighton

Garry Perkins undertook our yearly CPR/Anaphylaxis training for the first time this year. We were extremely impressed with his presentation which was delivered in a concise, well explained, well planned and demonstrated presentation. The feedback from all members attending was very positive and all felt confident that they would remember what we were taught especially in a situation to think 'chest compressions' and also to not compromise 'chest compressions'. We will definitely have Gary for our next yearly update. Many thanks Garry.

Stephanie Seacombe Joint Practice Manager, Old Shoreham Road Surgery

I had two weekends of training and assessment to become a community first responder. The training was informative and well paced. The trainer presented the course well, with a good blend of theory matched with plenty of practical hands on experience
