About The Event
The QA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work qualification is designed for individuals who wish to act as an emergency first aider in their workplace. Upon successful completion of this qualification, candidates will be equipped with the essential skills needed to give safe, prompt and effective first aid in emergency situations.
What’s more, as a regulated qualification, employers can book this course for their employees and rest assured that they have fulfilled their legal responsibilities for providing quality first aid training, without having to undertake any lengthy due diligence checks introduced in the recent HSE changes.
We are able to conduct group training sessions at your venue or you may wish to join one of our open public courses of which we run various dates throughout the year, see details to the right.
Course programme:
This interactive one-day course is delivered using small group scenarios, in a friendly environment.
Programme:
The roles and responsibilities of an emergency first aider
Assessing an incident
Managing an unresponsive casualty
CPR and AED use
Recovery Position
Choking
Seizures
Shock
Wounds and bleeding
Minor injuries
Cuts, grazes and bruises
Minor burns and scalds
Qualifications:
Ofqual Accreditation Level 3 EFAW first aider at work (3 years)
We are a Qualsafe Training Centre which means our courses are approved and recognised by Ofqual Accreditation.

Please note we are able to add on Foresty First Aid (+F) with the above EFAW course.
QA Level 3 Foresty First Aid (+F) when added to the EFAW course will meet Foresty First Aid +(F) needs.
Course programme:
- Know how to manage a casualty who is experiencing the effects of extreme cold and extreme heat.
- Be able to manage catastrophic bleeding.
- Know how to manage a casualty with crush injuries.
- Know how to manage a casualty with Lyme disease.
Courses duration: 2 Hours
Qualifications:
Ofqual Accreditation Level 3 QA Forestry First Aid +F (3 years)
We are a Qualsafe Training Centre which means our courses are approved and recognised by Ofqual Accreditation.
Intended audience:
This qualification is for people who hold or intend to complete an Emergency First Aid at Work or First Aid at Work qualification who may deal with special hazards in an emergency situation within a forestry/agricultural context.
Note: Those working in core operations on Forestry Commission land will require an appropriate and valid Emergency First Aid at Work or First Aid at Work qualification in combination with this QA Level 3 Award in Forestry First Aid +F (RQF) qualification.
