Major Incident & Terrorism Emergency Response Training

Practical training to help staff respond safely and effectively following a serious incident involving multiple casualties, including knife attacks, explosions and other deliberate incidents. Learners develop the skills to protect themselves, summon assistance, prioritise casualties and manage catastrophic bleeding while awaiting the emergency services.

The Qualsafe Level 2 Award in citizenAID (RQF) has been specifically developed to help members of the public learn life-saving skills for use in these extreme situations. Based on the citizenAID phone App and pocket guide, this regulated qualification is designed to teach people how to react safely, prioritise the injured and give first aid to victims in the event of a deliberate multiple casualty incident.

Practise techniques for dealing with catastrophic bleeding and the skills and knowledge needed to save lives in the aftermath of a terrorist attack.

Why Take This First Aid Course?

With the introduction of the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025Martyn’s Law, organisations are increasingly expected to prepare for and respond effectively to a range of emergencies, including potential terrorist incidents.

While Martyn’s Law does not require organisations to undertake a specific first aid or counter-terrorism qualification, it does emphasise the importance of ensuring staff have the awareness, understanding and practical instruction needed to carry out their responsibilities effectively.

This course provides valuable, practical skills to help individuals respond confidently in the critical moments following a serious incident, potentially helping to save lives when professional emergency services may not yet be on scene.
