Sussex First Aid Courses
Catastrophic Bleeding

As a direct result of the European Resuscitation Council’s guidelines on first aid, this is a comprehensive course includes the recognition and management of catastrophic bleeding. This short course is ideal for those in high-risk environments.

Course programme:

This interactive 2-hour course is delivered using small group scenarios, in a friendly environment and can be delivered at your venue or as an add on with one of our First Aid courses.

 

Programme:

 

• recognise life-threatening bleeding

• wound packing and haemostatic dressings

• how to control life-threatening bleeding using a tourniquet

• control life-threatening bleeding using haemostatic dressings and a tourniquet

• shock 

                                           

Qualifications:

 

This short course can be an add on to your First Aid at Work training or delivered as a stand-alone course with relevant CPD awarded.
 

We are a Qualsafe Training Centre which means our courses are approved and recognised by Ofqual Accreditation.
