Service Description
About The Event The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in BLS, AED and Management of Anaphylaxis for Adults, Children and Infants (RQF) is designed for people who have a specific interest or responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to provide adult, child or infant basic life support (BLS), safely use a defibrillator (AED) and provide management of anaphylaxis. The qualification and learning outcomes are based on the recommendations of the Resuscitation Council (UK) and a distinguished panel of experts in emergency medical care. Successful Learners will develop the practical competencies needed to provide adult, child and infant BLS, safely use an AED and manage a casualty with anaphylaxis. The course will not only refresh your practical skills but will also update you on any resuscitation guideline changes within the previous twelve months. Programme: 4 hours. Conducting a scene survey Conducting a primary survey on an adult, child and infant Identifying when to administer CPR Demonstrating CPR using adult, child, and infant manikins Demonstrating Safe use of an AED on an adult, child, and infant Considerations when administering CPR and using an AED When to place a casualty in the recovery position How to place an adult, child, and infant in the recovery position Continually monitoring breathing whilst in the recovery position Recognising suspected anaphylaxis Administering first aid for a casualty with suspected anaphylaxis Using an adrenaline auto-injector Qualification: 3 years Qualsafe Level 3 Award in BLS, AED and Management of Anaphylaxis for Adults, Children and Infants (RQF) Ofqual regulated. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations or course date transfers are not permitted. If you are unable to attend the course yourself, you may change the name of the delegate attending the course free of charge. You must inform the office to any change of delegates prior to the start of the course. If you are ill on the day of the course you must notify us in writing as soon as possible via email addressed to admin@sussesfirstaidcourses.co.uk. A transfer will only be offered if a valid doctor’s note is produced. Late arrival or missed session: If you arrive late for a course, or are absent from any session, we reserve the right to refuse to accept you for training if we feel you will gain insufficient knowledge or skill in the time remaining. In all such cases, the full course fee remains payable. To conform with Health & Safety Executive requirements for Statutory Certificates, attendance at all sessions is mandatory. In the event of non-attendance full fee is still due and is non-refundable. Cancellation by Sussex First Aid Courses: Sussex First Aid Courses reserves the right to cancel any course if there are insufficient numbers to run a viable course. In such circumstances, you will be given as much notice as possible and the offer of a free transfer to another course date, or a full refund of fees paid.
