QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF)

The QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) qualification is designed for individuals who are required to act as a designated first aider in the workplace.

This comprehensive qualification ensures learners develop the practical knowledge and confidence required to respond effectively to workplace medical emergencies. The course is also available as a blended learning option, combining online study with practical classroom training.

Successful candidates will learn how to assess incidents and manage a wide range of injuries and illnesses that may occur in the workplace. Delegates will gain the essential lifesaving skills needed to provide effective emergency first aid.

Course Overview

This interactive three-day course is delivered using practical demonstrations, scenario-based learning, and small group exercises in a supportive and engaging environment.

It is suitable for anyone who requires First Aid at Work training, including those responsible for workplace safety.

The course focuses on the practical management of medical emergencies and reflects the latest first aid guidelines and standards.

Training includes basic life support (including CPR and AED use) as well as recognising and responding to common workplace and everyday medical emergencies.

Qualification

This course meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 (Updated 2021).

Upon successful completion, learners will receive:

QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF)
Valid for 3 years

The qualification is awarded through Qualsafe Awards, an Ofqual regulated awarding organisation.
